it's been a circus

friday nite was spent hitting a britney spears concert. that was pretty fun. my gf, K, invited me and there was like 8 of us total going to ths show. in preparation for the event, i attempted to dress up like a tween...wore a denim mini skirt, a white t-shirt, big gold hoop earrings and a fake pearl necklace that i saw on my dining table which i had yet to put away from the tea party i went to last time...apparently, dressing up like a tween was a dumb idea...my other gfs dressed like normal adults so i was left looking totally stupid...but hey, whatever...

so we get to the staples center and our seats were at the lower level lodge...u would think for close to $200 per ticket, u would actually get to be slightly close to seeing britney, but alas that was not the case...i swear, if some girl came out with blond hair and performed, most of the audience woudn't even be able to tell if it was her or not...britney spent most of the nite lip synching except for when she said, "Los Angeles, r u having a good time?"

so the beginning of the show had the pussy cat dolls performing for like an hour...they were decent...and then since the theme was "circus", there was this circus act that went on for like another hour...and then britney finally comes on...she kinda dances a bit but her dancers do most of the work...i think she like finally sings maybe one song but even then, i think it might have been previously tape recorded...honestly, i can't imagine singing and dancing like that at the same time...britney is definitely a great performer...

the audience mainly consisted of 99% crazy women in their 20's and like 1% gay men...i honestly didn't understand why any parent would bring their child to this show...it was totally not kid appropriate...in one scene, britney is like totally humping one of her dancers on the couch...it was very hollywood men...u know...watching like male strippers style...

the show was pretty good except i have the attention span of like a peanut...i mean, to be there for like 3 hours with screaming women was pretty nuts...the girls that were sitting in front of me would keep getting up from their seats and like dance...and block my view which would force me to get my ass up so i can have some glimpse of what looks like britney on stage...these girls would always be screaming out, "OMG...OMG...it's britney" or "OMG...i love this song...she's sooo good" or when the pussy cat dolls sang that slumdog millionaire song, one girl was like, "OMG...i have that movie...did u watch it? it's sooo good" and these girls/women would start getting up and bounce around and like dance...i'm like, "in what fucking world did i just land in?"

anyway, all in all, i surprisingly did enjoy myself but ended up getting home kinda late cause my gfs and i spent another hour at LA Live to gossip cause u know, we're sooo TWEEN!!! i finally hit the hey at like 2 am...

the next morning was spent grabbing pho with my fiance and sister...came home and watched the Princess Bride with my fiance cause i've never seen that before...and OMG..that movie is sooooo hilarious...i totally wanted that guy who kept saying, "As u wish" to die and the girl who became a princess to die too...she was totally an ungrateful bitch...if someone wanted to make me their princess, i wouldn't be pining over some farmer boy...but hey, that's me...i swear, unrequitted love is totally overrated...spent my last nite grabbing pinkberry and a cheeseburger at in-n-out and fries...and then watching another episode of mad men...i swear, that show is soooo crazy good...

will be spending today getting my act together...i know...when am i not trying to do that??? oxox....
